I made this after I did the three drawings. I had a black piece of cardboard and some crappy crayola pencils in my house, and I decided to do something in color. I forgot how long this took me, hehe. I used five browns, and peach, and a white. t'was fun to do.
i agree with kristine, i think your choice of black paper is so much more interesting than any other color could possibly have been. he seems to be rising out of the black paper and becoming a solid form, it's a little unnerving actually. and... fantastic proportions on his hands, those are amazing hands...
Hey! I'm finally adding a comment to your picture, after I blow off the dust on my devart (I never use this thing)! There isn't much I can critique on it, I think you really use your black space well, in fact maybe better than your black on white compositions. I know you used crayola colored pencils (yeah.. umm.. what that's amazing for what you had) but maybe in the future, blending in with a tortellion some of the textures and lights in your drawings would really help. Have you ever tried stenciling before or spray paint? I think more of these compositions would just fly if you tried them.
